‘Through My Eyes’: The Concept of Recovery in People with Bipolar Disorder
On June 29th 2010, CREST.BD held its 3rd annual Community Consultation Day, which explored the topic of recovery and its meaning to people with BD, their family members and supports. The community based research event featured focus group interviews, presentations from team members and a larger group discussion on next steps in the field of mental health recovery.

The Community Consultation Day Preceedings Report provides an overview of the 2010 research event including;

  • An overview of research methods and  thematic focus group questions;
  • Highlights from the focus group findings;
  • A summary of the recovery-oriented presentations by team members.

The report provides a unique look at the emerging perspectives on recovery from people with lived experience of BD, their family members and healthcare providers.  This proceedings report represents a departure point for a diverse set of outputs from the recovery research findings which will be geared toward both community members and their support networks.
