Bipolar Youth Action Project: Key Messages Video

In this video, we are excited to share knowledge from youth living with bipolar disorder on Vancouver Island who participated in our Bipolar Youth Action Project (BYAP). At the first of two research events, the BYAP Youth Action Group (YAG) members and wider research team conducted focus groups to explore strategies that youth with bipolar disorder use to live well. Focus group discussions were recorded and analyzed by youth and adult co-researchers from the BYAP team.

In this short and powerful video, we share youth responses to the final focus group question we posed to them: What key messages would you want to share with another young person who had just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder?

This project and production of this video were made possible by funding from the Vancouver Foundation.
