Sara’s passion is providing clinical care and mental health education to individuals with severe mental illness who have come in conflict with the law. Research interests include, group therapy process and outcomes, best practices in forensic mental health, community-based participatory research (CBPR) methods, and Recovery philosophy. Sara is also the Chair of CREST.BD’s Community Advisory Group. In her work, she hopes to address stigma and share the message that recovery is probable.

What I do when I'm not working

I study astrology in my spare time and I’m active in the Vancouver music community as a guitarist and singer. I work as a volunteer broadcaster for the UBC campus radio station, CITR 101.9fm.
