Jennifer Nicholas is a Postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Behavioural Intervention Technologies at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on improving access to evidence-based mental health care, tools, and resources through technology. Her current projects explore the implementation of digital mental health tools within health systems and how smartphone sensor data can support the identification and prediction of depression and assist users in the management of their mental health. She completed her PhD at the Black Dog Institute in Sydney Australia in 2017, investigating the use of smartphone apps to support self-management among individuals with bipolar disorder. This research emphasized consumer perspectives and needs regarding smartphone apps for the disorder, and explored the scientific quality of existing resources.
