AMA Recap: World Bipolar Day “Ask Me Anything” 2026

Thank you for making our 2026 World Bipolar Day “Ask Me Anything ” (AMA) a record-breaking success – we’re thankful to everyone who joined us.

On March 30, we hosted our 8th annual AMA on Reddit, bringing together our largest ever team of 83 bipolar disorder expert panelists from 20 countries. The response was incredible: more than 650 questions, 2,000 comments, 2,500 shares, and over 825,000 views.

People joined from all over the world – according to Reddit post insights, the most views came from the U.S. (57.6%), followed by Canada (8.9%) and the U.K. (5.3%), alongside many other countries.

Wide-ranging expertise and experience

The questions and panelist responses were thoughtful and often deeply personal – covering everything related to the experience of bipolar disorder from diagnosis and medications to relationships, stigma, and what day-to-day life actually looks like. This year, our largest team ever of 83 panelists from 6 continents offered an extensive variety of perspectives including clinical, research, cultural, and lived experience. That mix of perspectives was the heart of the 2026 AMA.

Many questions received multiple responses offering perspectives from different panelists.
